One of the rare things I did not inherit from the Lebanese Culture is their inaccurate appointments, one characteristic that we Lebanese are so famous for. If a Lebanese person gave an appointment at 3 he won’t be there before 4 or 5 even. An event occurred to me this morning. Me being an appointment freak, never late for an appointment unless under severe circumstances, a loving family member has changed my clock settings advancing it by 1 hour this morning, intelligent enough to edit both my phone and arm clock settings. Here I am, walking into my meeting, supposedly at 11, 5 minutes ahead of time, ordered my coffee, installed my laptop, ready as ever to finish as soon as possible. My clock ticks and time passes, I was wondering why are all me attendees so late, getting angry, till suddenly I checked my laptop’s clock to find out its still 10:20!!!!!!!!
Silently, but angrily, I started to wonder how effective is timing on our daily life, just imagine what could we do without timing??? What a mess… anyway it’s just a thought that I liked to pass over to all those who have no respect for time or appointments. We Lebanese should start to solve this issue….
And stop giving the excuse : “Bakir wlo ba3d minla77i2___ wlik 3adi inno shu el far2.. sa3a bilzayid se3a bil na2is mohim shifnakon…...”…….
