Have you ever wondered what does it feel like to be really a Beirut Citizen???
Am sure that it is nothing that relates to what this program diffuses to the world community!! Am sure that you won;t be interested in a night life, that may not differ in anything form the night life on any capital in the world, but i think that what people really want to see is the way we really interact, live, and spend our day in Beirut!!!I believe that they are interested in the main reason behind declaring this city as the “#1 to be visited” in the world.
What is quite abused in this program is the expression “wel3ani bi Beirut”, well yes it’s wel3ani bi Beirut cause we are a nation that doesn’t rest, one that never sleeps, nor takes no for an answer, one who lives each moment as if it’s the last and enjoys life till the last drop. For sure, it’s not because some youth dance in night clubs till dawn, nor because they say cheers and play fools when they are drunk…
As many people may agree with me, such programs do nor only diffuse negative images to the world society, but also to the local one where parents become really worried about the “3ayshina” of their children.
It’s about time when the Lebanese Media increases its awareness with respect to audience and the global reflections of such programs, and let us for once decide to show our beauty instead of “ninishor ghasilna” in world societies.
